Good morning. My name is Debbie and I'm new to coin collecting. Finding some interesting things but on some I'm not quite sure what I'm looking at. I'm hoping to use all the research materials I can find to broaden my understanding of coins. Hoping to get input and suggestions on the sites and research material that would be good for the novice.

What I've found in the short time that I've been coin collecting is there are so many errors on coins but not all are worth adding to my collection. Hoping to find a happy medium on understanding so I'm not throwing back coins that might be an asset to my collection. Looking forward to my venture in learning.

To CCF , Debbie ,the first thing you need to do is decide if you want to be an error collector or a Date ,Mint and Condition collector . Trust me , there's a big difference . But whatever you choose , have fun with the hobby . CCF is here to help you with any questions you may have .

Allow your interests to evolve--no use in arbitrarily declaring that you're one type of collector, or another. Enjoy the ride and refine your preferences as you go along. Most importantly, have fun.
