no points for having the same federal reserve letters, but the other letters can definitely be used.

This is a Serial Bouquet, where:
--The $20 bill is the parent; it equals the sum of the other seven bills.
--The serial number on the $20 is 58564438, which equals the sum of the other seven serial numbers.

It's also an Alpha Bouquet:
--The production block letters to the right of the serial number, when read vertically, spell "VANHALEN".

Whatever you do, don't spend them! However, you may never find anyone else willing to pay a premium for such a set.

im with jbuck! arent we all passing time in different but similar ways? I'm over here attributing cull large cent for fun. some people coin roll hunt. some pay thousands for regency slabs. registry sets. toners. the 1995-W silver eagle. its all lunacy to someone with a slightly different form of crazy.

i really appreciate this post. ill immediately forget most toned morgans but I bet I remember this post for years. I would pay more than face value for a set (though not a ton more since paper money is not really my thing).

@theserialflorist, how many notes did you search before you found your first pattern? The serial numbers are not entirely random, as some ranges of numbers are not issued.

I mean, outside of a calculator, where do you even start on a project like this? Are you a member of MENSA?

For how many bills the first time...sigh...a whole bunch. I wanna say two or three thousand. Oriole not sure what you mean by the numbers aren't random? if you mean that not every letter was printed for every denomination, yeah so I had to plan around that.

Before the calculator is deciding what denominations to use, whether to use older currency, what to spell if anything, and knowing what combinations don't exist. And then the calculator comes out.

@TheSerialFlorist, this are fascinating sets of notes you've assembled.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures
