fmtaxguy Valued Member United States 257 Posts	Posted 03/01/2009 8:32 pm What does it mean when a PCGS slabbed coin is designated only as 'Genuine' without a grade assigned? Does it mean that it's not counterfeit, or that surfaces are genuine, or something else altogether? Thanks in advance. Report this Post to the Staff

These are coins that have been cleaned,rim nick, environmental damage,holed,etc. They will slab your coin, (if genuine), and give it a "no grade" but guarantee it's authenticity. xshift Pillar of the Community United States 2669 Posts	Posted 03/01/2009 9:00 pm They're in cute little styrofoam-ish 'envelopes' containing the coin in the flip with their sticker on it designating the coin and what the problem is. My last one was on a large cent. I forget the year so I'm guessing here, but it said something along the lines of "1804 Large Cent" and "Surfaces Tooled". Report this Post to the Staff
