@279, can you please add a nice closeup pic of the doubling? From these pics, I can see the broken post in the number 8 plus a linear plating bubble behind Abe's head.

As Spence said, clear closeups would be great, hope you have it. Markers do not make a doubled die though, the die chip in this location is not uncommon.

Chip? Or DDeteration, I'm confused, I'm new,some others said DD was the term on zinc?

Some use DD as an abbreviation of a "doubled die", this would be any doubled die, not just copper plated zinc coins.

What is inside the 8 is a die chip, it has nothing to do with a doubled die. The doubled die you are calling out just happens to have a chip in the same location, that does not make it a doubled die, the doubling does.

die chip in the 8 or a better term used sometimes is a broken post - but they are the same thing.. other than that on this coin I just see DDD or MD.

It's a common die chip in the lower half of the 8. No numismatic premium.
