1963 D Cent Delamination Bad !

Wow.. Looks like a bad case of delamination. I may have the term wrong, but it's going in a 2X2 to show the other old timers. Wouldn't think cooper coins would deteriorate this bad. Would I be correct in labeling it delamination? Thanks.

Very Nice. This it is not delamination or lam on the collectors vocabulary. It is a wrong mix of the alloy which crack and dtach during the rolling and all the others steps till the end of the coin strike accentuate more the effect.

Very nice and nice example.

What you see more there it is the Zinc. 1963 it is a brass alloy. was choice in 1962 versus bronze for the malleability and cost of the metal alloy. If the melted metal is not well mixt and is done a cold purge will happened this effect.
