Hello all, I am by no means a colector but by coincidence have 2 $100 bills that look "old" to me and a quick ebay search yielded some similar bills selling form $110 to $600. Anyway I don't consider myself to be that lucky but figured I'd check with the pro's before I spend them at the store.

to the Forum! 1990 is not really "old". And there doesn't seem to be any reason that these would be valued > $100 - especially given their condition.

Can't see anything unusual about these bills.

Because of condition I do not see them being worth a premium.

Welcome to CCF.
As mentioned above, condition attributes a large part to the value of modern (1963 and above) notes. Personally and respectfully, I'd spend or deposit them.

Thanks everyone, that's what I was thinking but wanted to double check just in case.

The Series 1990 $100 notes can have added value but are listed in the price guide Paper Money Of The United States as having the added value generally only when they are in uncirculated condition so in that specific circulated condition with a spot and folds in this case unfortunately negates any potential added value and its just a spender. This seems to be the case for most of those modern $100 bills where uncirculated older series do show added value but circulated ones do not until you go further back in time. Star Notes can have some added value even in circulated conditions in some cases according to the price guide so its fine to post and ask if you dont own one of the books. I guess its possible some people buy circulated examples of some notes for a premium even when the guides dont show added value but I tend to go by the guide then perhaps check ebay sold listings.

If everything in your house is now selling as a vintage collectible on ebay, you might be getting old

Like stated above, unless the coin/currency is crisp uncirculated or mint state, these are just spenders and even when you have a cu note you might have a hard time finding to someone pay more than face value for an older note. Most items that are older really have little premium until you get to the earlier dates like 1950 and then it still depends on condition.
