So yeah I said I was wrong my last post about the doubling on 1967 but I have never seen 1977 that looks like this especially from Denver just didn't say you don't make this mistake I wouldn't think and Let It get by

Seems to be mechanical damage of some sort. I don't believe that this is a mint error though.

Most would say Dryer Coin, but I think these this uniformly damaged coins were done in a rock tumbler. I don't have a tumbler, or I'd do some experiments.
