I have noticed that ANACS is having a Lincoln and Dollar submittal special ( I don't have enough semi-key Lincolns to meet the 10 coin minimum for $10 each), and was going through my inventory, and was thinking about my Silver clad IKE's. Would they be worth submitting?

I wouldn't recommend sending anything in for grading unless it was worth at least $100. For moderns, it would have to be very high end coins.

Silver or clad?

They are only worth submitting if they potentially have high value and if you are planning on selling them.

Most silver IKE's wouldn't be worth submitting, even if they would grade 68 or 69. The exception to this the 1976-S Silver IKE, which is pretty valuable at MS68.

Someone chime in if I missed any other silver issues that may be valuable.

Clads...you'd have to take them on a case-by-case basis to see which grades may have value that warrant paying for submittal.

The 1973-S Silver (not proof) is worth less than $150 in MS-68. So submitting one *might* pay for itself. But the coin I previously mentioned easily goes for over $500, to as high as $1,000.

( edit )
Taking the $10 special into account, I'd say "yes" on 1973-S Silver if it might be MS68.

oih82w8, There are quite a few varieties of the Eisenhower's that can run into
the hundreds of dollars. A good place to figure out the different varieties is this website
