Can someone explain the markings within this coin on the obverse side? Also the marks running within Lincoln's hairline? Normal wear? Spike errors? Why the odd color designs and what would have created them to begin with?

Agree. post-strike damage--in this case, odd staining. May have been the result of sitting in a wet/moist environment with a few other coins.

That makes complete sense, yet I couldn't figure out something so logical. Really appreciate the help. Truly opening my eyes to maybe see the coin for what it is and stop making an attempt at looking into them deeper than what they are showing me in the first place. You guys are awesome.
