On this dime, all I see is extreme damage (post mint) if there are any true errors, they are lost in the carnage we see.

Yes definitely better, but in tighter focus would help even more. I'm thinking this is damage rather than a die chip.

If you look at the line of the bust you can see it is material dispatch. A Die crack will not affect the high relief like this,
