Need help on this 2009 P District of Columbia quarter. Seems to have doubling on both sides of it. Is it Machine Doubling or double die or something else? Any help is appreciated thanks.

Looks like extreme deterioration of the die, not a doubled die.

Correct. It is always towards the closest rims. VLDS. They even get even worse as the die continues to be used even more.
