Here's an 1838 Seated Liberty half dime that I somewhat recently purchased. I must say, looking at the coin in hand, it has the most radiant luster of any coin in my collection, it's absolutely stunning. With that said, what do you think this coin grades out at, and is it worth submitting?

Looks like a nice one but like the others said, better photos out of the holder would help.

I'm a bit apprehensive to take it out of the holder. However, I hope these photos help a little bit.

Something doesn't look quite right here. Coin appears to have a "whizzed" look too me. UNC details, whizzed.

With no contrast between the open fields and the devices, I'm left to believe it's either been wizzed or polished.

UNC details cleaned. what a shame

large star variety would have been in the $5-600 range at MS63 which I think it would have graded at. its difficult to say if it was circulated due to the cleaning so even at AU58 it would be a $250 coin

The coin does not look natural in your photos. I am not sure if it has been cleaned, polished or whizzed. Your photos are not showing any hairlines from a cleaning or polish. Does the coin show hairlines in hand when put under light and magnification while tilting back and forth?

Something definitely looks off about this coin.

It's in a 3 cent 2x2, just take it out.

Also, flatten those staples.
