Pictured here is an 1843-O Seated Liberty quarter that I have in my collection. It's a phenomenal coin. It does have a scratch near the beak of the eagle on the reverse, although that scratch isn't very noticeable upon initial examination of the coin. Is this a coin that you would consider submitting?

question...is there some reason you want to slab all your coins? what is you end game with them? is it to protect them? is to sell them? this makes a difference in whether, at least I, would advocate it. not all coins need slabbed. personally I dont do it due to cost and I can grade them pretty much myself so I dont need someone else to tell me what I already know. figure between $40-60 a coin depending on value with shipping, insurance and subscription fees. that chews up a lot of value for a $150 coin. so you need to know why youre slabbing and then if you do it way less to submit a group at one time
in this case the photos are not the best. the coin looks to be in the XF40/45 range but it hard to assess if the surfaces are original. if it did grade straight then the coin is worthy of slabbing if you intend on selling it. if not, personally i'd put it in an airtight and call it a day.

Here are some better photos of the quarter. It's funny, the scratch near the beak is only faintly visible with the naked eye, but with these photos, it looks so much worse than it is. The coin does have a bit of luster remaining. Edit: I'm actually looking to go to PA school in the near future, so I might need to sell some of my coins to help pay for tuition.

coin look better in the new photos. I think its close to AU so I'm at XF45+ or AU50. tough call on the scratch. it might be worth a shot at grading if you want to take the risk it wouldnt detail. I'm thinking there is like 80% chance it would but you never know. and if it grades straight you have decent value here

It looked like a weak obverse strike in the 1st set of pictures, the second set looks much better. I think there is too much wear on the head to go AU. I'm at EF-45, but think there's a good chance that it would get a details for the scratch.
