Appears to be a common '54 D Wheat cent 'suffering' from a good dose of circulation wear/damage. The coin didn't leave the striking chamber in that condition.

too distorted by overmagnification, smaller makes the pics sharper, the board recommends 800x800 pixels

I don't think it's a mint error, my 52 and 53 look the same.

It's just the high points of the coin, they are most susceptible to damage.
