The second PCGS slab that came in the mail today that needs reholdered. The coin is in a fairly late die stage, but this RPM looks great through all its die stages.

Thanks folks! And yeah, been having a fairly good run of things the last couple weeks. Seems like the New Year is generally a good time for errors and varieties as a lot of them show up.

Very nice find.

When you search for these (I assume on line?) - how do you obtain photos with sufficient resolution to identify the variety? The typical ebay seller has out of focus photos that would never be definitive evidence.

Being able to find a variety without actually seeing it can be key. Memorizing mint mark positions really helps narrow things down quickly, but a lot of cherrypicks overall are done by die makers and not actually seeing the variety. It's more complicated than just trying to find great photos and seeing everything, although it's great when that happens.
