Tis just a small Cud, but it is the last known date with a Cud into the field for the Kennedy series (there is a 1995 with two rim Cuds). It was in an error lot I bought a while back and finally getting it imaged and filed away.
Of note, it is mis-attributed as a "D" Denver coin on Cuds-on-Coins but clearly it is a "P."
Never thought much about Cuds on Kennedy halves. I guess there wasn't really much of a reason for the mint to overuse the Kennedy dies that might produce more of them.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.
Thanks all! But one thing I have noticed is that Cuds do not necessarily correlate well with the age of the die. It would seem that most dies that break do so because of an intrinsic weakness, and not so much from overuse. There are a lot of examples of young dies with Cuds out there.
