I'd like to know if anyone else thinks there is a fairly obvious S mintmark hiding between the 9 and 5 of the date? It sure looks like it to me!

Given the pics posted, I'm not seeing a distinct S. Beware Pareidolia.

I see what you are looking at but not sure what's there. Clearer pics and less gunk in that area would help though. I enlarged and marked up one of your pics, for other to see.

First, always show us the entire coin, both sides. We may be able to spot something you may have overlooked.

In this case, you're seeing something that just isn't there. There is no S between any of the numbers on no your coin. It's like seeing bunny rabbits in the clouds. They just aren't there.
