why do dealers web site usually have a minimum for free shipping, but when you go to them on ebay, no minimum?

ebay charges fees on shipping costs. Free shipping = no additional fees.

Most dealers that have websites ALSO charge less on their website. Hence they have to charge for shipping.

It's good to check both dealer online stores and their ebay stores. Sometimes their prices are more, the same or less on ebay, depending on shipping costs, what method of payment, mailed check, electronic, PayPal, credit card, how many bought.

Hfjacinto nailed it.

Dealers price is considerably less on their website.

The website dealers encourage you to buy more to eliminate the shipping costs...much like many other purchasing sites.

I don't use ebay to buy coins. In fact I haven't used ebay for many years. That said I have been looking at some CCF members items on ebay recently.
