Now that the US Mint is doing a better job on it's website, I have a question for those wiser than myself. Is it worth it to buy the ASE's and other products. Do they increase in value ? I have purchased the Apollo comm. a few years ago, which I liked & a Peace dollar from 2021 which I was not as thrilled with. Opinions anyone !

If this is not a proper post, please let me know.

I enjoy what I buy, which is good because I buy for personal enjoyment. Long term value or profit are not my concern, so I really have no idea which items have increased or decreased in value. I just assume all fall into that latter category.

My advice: Purchase what you enjoy and can afford. Don't speculate about future gains.

Make your money elsewhere - enjoy coin collecting as a hobby. If future profits happen - great! If not, rest secure in the knowledge that you enjoyed the pride of ownership.

There are many posts here on CCF (and elsewhere) from those who fret about the future potential of, seemingly, every.purchase they consider/make. I always wonder if they have time to enjoy their pursuits?

For me, buying coins is like buying food; once the money is spent it is gone. However, the coins are more like having my cake and eating it too.
