To me, it looks like a 'common' well-circulated '44 Wheat cent with a dose of circulation flattening. In my many decades of Wheat cent searching, I've come across mountains of very similar pieces. Keep in mind, a collectable should stand out from a normal coin: Click on images to enlarge them. I usually look at Proof coins to see what the design should look like on obverses.
