HumblePie Pillar of the Community United States 1217 Posts	Posted 01/19/2023 5:55 pm I have seen many uncirculated Indian cents with this exact same style of damage. There is never any abrasion or scratches outside of/around the damage area. Does anyone have an idea of what it could be? PMD? Some type of strike through? I have always written it off to PMD, but the more I see of them the more I wonder if it is some mishap during the minting process. Thanks for any feedback! I have the coin in a close-fit holder, not TPG. Report this Post to the Staff

That could be the culprit. I have seen the exact damage on numerous Indian cents. The damage was always in the middle area of the coin. Report this Post to the Staff
