It looks reasonable, but the crud would have to be removed from around the mintmark to tell for sure. Of course, very carefully.

A very soft bristled toothbrush and a liberal application of Goo-Gone...perhaps a 5 minute soak wouldn't hurt at all.

Great find .I noticed that after it was cleaned it looks all shiny and silvery,is there something else that could have cleaned it besides Goo-Gone that would have left it looking natural?Should it be re-toned with liquid darkener?

I think you're seeing different exposures or different contrast controls in the camera or editing software. Goo-Gone does not change the color of circulated copper cents. I have used it for years and have never had a problem with it.

And now I am relatively certain - you have 1946S-1OM-001..arguably the most difficult OMM to find in the Lincoln Cent series.

That is a very neat Lincoln. Gives me some incentive to take a look through mine! I've never looked for any errors before, just dates.

Sounds like yours is very elusive!
