If it is die filled (hope I'm correctly using terminology for the type of "error") is it worth holding onto or just tossing back into circulation? Error is in the letters "E Pluribus Unum" on obverse of coin.

A Grease Fill on a die can show reduction of the top of the device. Leaving the device looking wider/taller. (Just like your coin) The extreme would be when the device is totally filled on the die, then nothing appears:

If initialy was grease? Yes. then we have the bits from the circulation. Keep for your own example. Not collectable on any ways.
