I saw this Standing Liberty from one seller. If I buy it, does anyone know how to find out the date on silver?

Thank you. I missed the opportunity to buy this coin, but I didn't try hard either. But I will need this information if I ever decide to restore the date on such coins.

The coin was sold in the form of an "auction". The final price was 254 rubles (3.70 US Dollars)

Perhaps a Vinegar soak? I only used it once and it did help a little. I rinsed it off quickly afterwards and touched it dry, no rubbing! Just a thought.

The coin is a pedestal date from 1917 to 1924. The coin you posted is not worth trying to restore the date because of the scratches. You can find the most common Standing Liberty quarters with full recessed dates from 1925 to 1930 around melt pricing in the lower grades.

Even if it was a 23 s, it would still be cull because it would be restored. Little to no premium.
