*** Edited by Staff to clarify topic title. Please put as much info in the title as you can, they are very important. ****** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***I'm rummaging through a heap of coins I found in a big jar when cleaning out my deceased father's house. I know very little about coins and since there is not a reputable coin dealer in my area to take this in for an opinion, I am turning to ya'll for some help.
I've got a 1986 D
Lincoln Penny and I'm not positive about what it is I see located on the obverse side. It appears that there may be faint letters imprinted at the very bottom edge of Lincoln's jacket (right above the VDB mark). I've taken a couple of pics for y'all to check out and hopefully someone will be able to tell me if my eyes are going senile or if you see letters of some sort as well (perhaps the letters are backward?).
(I sure hope I can get this uploaded properly!)
