Just wondering what caused this "fissure" behind Washington's ear. Is this what grease looks like? Coin is in good circulated condition, no major wear or damage. The reverse has nothing of note.

It does look like a strike through, gritty grease maybe.

It could be from damage to the die? If so it could be incuse on coin. If it is raised on the coin, it could be pushed metal? The fine lines next to the design could be Feeder Finger Damage?

Yes, that incuse/sunken 'blob' in the center of the first posted pic appears to be a strike-through.
