No sure this a a coin that went through slot machines or the local driveway. The1 in 1962 is lost and the wording in God we trust is rather squeezed into top ring. the L in liberty is also not clear.
the reverse shows...of America...America also damaged and the on the building the first pillar left slit and further along another pillar split and some hole in the above....also lost is the FG

Yes, the coin in question appears to have resided in a parking lot for some period of time. Post-strike damage, certainly. Too, the obverse die used to produce the coin appears to have been wearing out -- 'pushes' lettering/devices toward coin's rim.

Even one crater like on this coin would turn it into a cull coin. This one was found on a parking lot. Just a copper melt coin now or a spender.

Thank you all so much...i have now finally seen the light as to where a coin like this should be put...as a spender. It was also helpful that those marks that are not raised willl be of post damage. Took some time for me to find a number of articles...notely by Coop. A thank you from a total novice.
