Hello, could use your help with this. Appears as though my coin is missing the L in Liberty on the obverse and the Of on the reverse?
Thank you

The L is most likely a Grease Filled Die and or early Ridge Ring. The of is a common area that is weak because of the bust on the obverse using up the available metal.

On of the areas on the reverse is sometimes weaker if there is a slight amount of coin weight missing. The opposite side of the design on the obverse take most of that areas metal movement. So it there is a shortage of weight is short, then that area will suffer during the strike. Not a plus, but a common die striking event. (Looks also that the die was over polished to remove the Ridge Ring on the obverse. Thus the missing letters or a slight Grease Fill on that area. Again not a plus for this coin.
