So far I see strong evidence of a beat up circulated coin - so likely that the mint mark simply took a hit and has been distorted. fplagge Pillar of the Community United States 659 Posts	Posted 01/31/2023 08:50 am Logic tells me that it is not possible for a legitimate coin to have both an "S" and a "D" mintmark, since all "S" coins are minted at the San Francisco mint and all "D" coins are minted at the Denver mint. The last OMM I know was the quarter in 1954. At one point was apparently say that the 1980-D Cent it is an OMM but after more analysis was Debunk this hypothesis.
