Hello,

I bought a '64 mint proof set recently with the half cut out, put back in, and taped back up.

Should I just put these in my tubes of Roosevelt dimes, 64 quarters and halves?

Curious how other collectors handle this. I can't see putting them in capsules given the low premium over silver.

Anyone's input would be appreciated!

R.

I stick them in cardboard/mylar flips and usually discard the original packaging if they need to be removed.

You could put in a capital holder.

I buy (from the mint) 2 sets of proof/silver proof and uncirculated sets. One set I keep intact - the other I break out all the coins to place in my Dansco albums.

Thank you for your responses.

I think I was hoping folks would say 'it's a bullion coin out of the packaging's and then, for the sake of organization, I could just drop them into tubes!
I think I'll leave them in acid free flips for now.

I would leave them in a 2x2.

The proof coins I removed from OFP have ended up in my Dansco albums.
