One of my special National Currency notes. The First National Bank of Quantica, Virginia. This is a type two 5 dollar note. There were 1656 of these produced and this note is number 1656. I know everybody wants note number one. How cool is it to have the last number from the series especially from a desirable bank? What are your thoughts? Thanks for the input.

Interesting note for sure. Everyone immediately knows that S/N 1 was the first note printed, but almost no one would know (or care, I'm guessing) what the last number was. Just my hunch.

Nice note. An example graded 66EPQ sold last month for $3,840 at Heritage. It was a Type 2 $5 note serial number A001605.

Even if not worth a premium in the marketplace, very cool to even notice that it was the last one! Aside, what does the 12477 mean that's on there four times?

I would absolutely love to have this for my Virginia collection. I just got your Farmville note. Are you auctioning or do you have a set price?

Thanks Ben. At this time, this note is not for sale. I'll have two others coming on Sunday 2/12/23.

I live in Virginia. I don't collect these notes but about 2-3 years ago I was in the right place at the right time when they became available.

Around 15 years ago, I purchased a small coin collection. In this collection was a state of Kansas $20 National Currency note which was autographed. That's the bad news. The good news, it was signed by Chas Floyd AKA Pretty Boy Floyd. The bad news, some moron traced his autograph with a felt tip pen. I'll try and show this in a different thread.
