Here I have 3 quarters that came out of the same roll. All three are something I e yet to see and haven't found much about. The 4th coin in the pic is a penny out of a roll I opened today as well. It's been a weird one.

Do you have a question for us? I agree it's a strange roll it that helps. This probably belongs in a more General discussion section. The damaged quarter is post mint damage, no mint error. The rest of the coins are just worn.

OK - strange roll. Did you have a specific question about these coins?

If I had damaged coins like that, they would be the first to be spent/ go into rolls. I'm sure that someone else did the same.

Yeah, the circulation and staining are distracting.

Oops, I'm so all over the place right now. Was just wondering about the damage. I'm trying to learn different ways damage occurs during minting and what is obviously postmint.
I was stuck on doubled dies for a while but just when I think I have that down I realize how far away I am.

Thank you though you did answer my question even though I forgot to ask it lol

I have been at this for 4 months now and feel like I have barely scratched the surface. I am looking for someone locally to chat with. I'm going to go by a shop or two today and see if they are hiring or would even let me volunteer. I have the time at the moment so I want to take advantage

Post strike damage. None of the examples that has post strike damage, has no extra premium. They are just damaged coins and only face value.

I think you have a great idea to spend some time with your local dealer. If they know what they are doing, they can show you what to look for regarding error/variety coins. They can also teach you about grading, handling, photographing, buying and selling quality coins. If you get stumped on something, you can always come back here and get expert advice.

to the CCF Can you post a closer in focus picture of the 84 obverse and reverse. Might be a strike through.
