I found this 1963 P that appears to have doubling on the reverse. I couldn't find a match on varietyvista. Would this be a legit doubled die or Machine Doubling? I apologize for the poor quality pics, I just got my scope yesterday and I don't have a memory card yet so I had to take photos of the screen.

2foxy,
It is MD. You said you checked VV but you always need to check all three reference sites.

On a doubled die the devices will be enlarged, not reduced. What you have is damage post strike to your coin. On a doubled die, can create a doubled die coin. Look at the outside edges of devices will only find you Machine Doubling or die wear. On a doubled die, the centers of the devices will be enlarged. (taller or wider)

Note the DDR's, your eyes are pulled to the centers of the devices, not on the outside edges. You looking on the wrong areas.
