Very nice find, good eye to spot it. Soak it in acetone then do not touch it with hands. Put in 2x2.

PamG, BIG congrats on your find. Acetone soak and an Air-Tight is the right choice. Where did you find it? John1

Thanks John. Went to my bank to make a deposit and got 10 rolls of pennies and I found this, a 2006 DDO which I haven't figured out yet and a great 1960d rpm. Haven't figured that one out yet either. Western PA.

Over 20 years of hunting and I have been lucky enough to find two of these. (Both D) The first one I found was actually a discovery piece! Congrats on a very difficult pull from CRH!

Well done on a great find. One thing I'll add to the acetone soak is to be sure to rinse the coin with water ( not tap water as chlorine can be harmful) after soaking twice in acetone, especially for really nice varieties. And use fresh acetone for each soak. First soak removes surface grime/grease/oils. Second soak removes leftover contaminants that ended up in the soultion. Rinse in water removes even more. (I've had some nice BU varieties turn brown by not doing all three. There was mint grease on the coins that came off during the soak but remained in the acetone, coated the surface, and turned them brown. )
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.
