I agree with very late die state but it does look cool in the photos, sort of like Longacre doubling.

And Machine Doubling. If it were a doubled die, then the centers of the devices would be enlarged:
1961-Jefferson-Nickel-Error?
The direction of die wear would be towards the direction of the closest rim. Machine Doubling would affect the same sides of the devices on just one side. On a doubled die, the spread would be noticed on the center areas of the devices. Not a doubled die.
