I am calling it "Snaggle Tooth FDR" I found this today in some spare change and just had to snap a photo and see if anyone else has seen this Error.

Tough to tell by that photo. Might be a minor die chip or just PMD.

to the CCF

Hard to tell if it is raised or incuse,
If it is raised, then it is a die chip.
If it is incuse, then it is damage.
In either case it is not an error and adds no value.

Well I think "Snaggle Tooth FDR" Is Cool and it seems to go all the way through the same depth as the portrait. Shame my camera can't capture what the Digital Microscope shows.
Bummer About not adding value but hey I got something cool to put in a capsule :)

Woot! the Name I just pulled outta my head is a fancy name LOL! I jokes Yeah it's just a cool looking thing... On my Screen I see it clearly the same depth as the lips on the mouth then I snap a photo and I cant capture it.

if the anomaly is raised, it's the result of a die chip, something fairly common on dimes of the 2000s

If you don't already, a jeweler loupe goes a long way in instances like this. I often get shadows or light bouncing if looking through my electronic microscope, but the loupe is much clearer and will give me a true reading.

All I know is it is in the area that is common for a die chip to be in.
