Hi All,
I found this mark on a War Nickel that might be a strike through? I have added pics of the mark, as well as the edge and the obverse in the same area. This almost looks like a Roman arrowhead LOL. Any thoughts?

The 4th pic is of the obverse on the same area of the coin. Thank you for the response.

I have found many lamination errors on the War Nickels (extreme) so far but most of the peeling (?) or pieces of metal covering the areas are still intact. Would this be an example of a lamination issue where the metal has long ago come off?

agree with Dearborn, a delamination that has been smoothed by subsequent wear

to the CCF

I'll go with a lamination and subsequent circulation wear.
