Hello, again checking with you guys again to see if this one will be close enough to the rim to be an error? If it is how much you guys think it's worth? Thanks!

I cannot tell from your pics. If you could give us clear, closeups, that would help. There are several doubled dies, for this year, that are called "bar L's" though, yours may be one of those and there are some that have light doubling on the T in TRUST too. Here is a link. http://www.varietyvista.com/01b%20L...201963-D.htm

With the new pics, still can't tell for sure but think it is just circulation damage.

The L close to the rim is not an error, it is normal on all Lincoln cents up to 1968. In 1969 new master dies were produced moving the L away from the rim. What you have is normal, don't believe people who are trying to sell them as an error.

Thanks, Jimmy. It would help if I read through the OP's question. I immediately had bar L's on my mind, between the year and it being an L question.

It does not happen over night. Just post your coins, ask questions and listen to the answers. Check out links that are given and study. If you really want to do this, it takes time, effort and patience.

The horizontal part of the 'L' looks a little bit short, but that, too, is part of the design. (take a look at the right side of the 'T')
