I know the other one looks counterfeit but why do you think this one does?

I'm wondering about authenticity of the OP's coin. Lettering on UNITED seems too thick. A in STATES appears doubled along the right edge. Liberty's earlobe doesn't look right. The wreath also looks off; that center acorn on the left side stands out as weird.

If this cent is genuine the price does seem attractively low.

Has an overall mushy look. Expand the pic and look at the date. Pretty sure it's fake. Even if it isn't, it's been harshly cleaned. This is a ten foot pole coin. Both of em.

Sorry I guess I just don't know much about fake Indian Head cents or cleaned ones.

I don't think it's a fake, but rather an XF cent that has been cleaned and expertly recolored to look new.

I'm in the fake camp, just from comparing images. Where's the ribbon end where it joins the Liberty band? The serifs on all the letters look fat and indistinct. Etc.

Looks like a Chinese fake to me.
