2019 W American Memorial Strike Through Obverse

It appears to me to be a Strike Trough Error on the Obverse, south west of Georges Ear. Do you agree or disagree? "LOVE THE HUNT!" Report this Post to the Staff

mrwhatisit Pillar of the Community United States 2955 Posts	Posted 02/18/2023 8:34 pm It does appear to be raised on your coin; it could be a small but noticable string of die chips, but could also be a strike-thru. Depends on if that feature is either raised or sunk-in. Report this Post to the Staff

silviosi Pillar of the Community Canada 6244 Posts	Posted 02/19/2023 01:49 am So we have an West Point coin, strike on conventional Vertical press. The nose and the upper lips show Strike Doubling and the rest an old Die. the portion of the request here show also two Die Chips and also the rest an re-polish Die. Due to the orientation of the Die move and the age of the Die, I will say it is an Die Crack. The texture of the coin surface do not look as a strike trough. IMHO. Report this Post to the Staff
