1652 Pinetree Coin - real or fake. The weight was around 5g. It was from coin collection from my ex wife's grandparents collection. I don't have any history on it. Thank you.

It does not look real to me. Many replicas were sold in souvenir shops.

to the CCF!

This piece looks similar to 1960's era copies I've seen. Back then, a wide variety of historic coins and tokens were sold at tourist spots.

A jeweler or coin dealer with an XRF analyzer gun can provide exacting info on a coin's metal content.

Check the rim to see if there's any lettering. One of the makers of a great many replica pieces often stamped the word BECKER on the edge. If that word appears, the maker was Peter Rosa .of NY City

The giveaway to me (besides the cast look) is the centering and roundness. Try to find any real example as perfect in either regard, let alone both.

Weight is important too... Unclipped Small Size PTSs top out at around 71 grains at the very most; usually 66-69gr for genuine examples

Welcome, Scuba.
These were mass (re)produced as souvenirs, still available today in gift shops at historic sites.
