Dear All,

I came across the attached 17 Double Rim $1 Mob of Roos circulated coins ranging from 2001 through to 2008. Are these common or PMD due to wear and tear? Hope to hear from anyone who also come across something similar.

Unfortunately common. But collecting every date would be a challenge. Then of course right side, left side, top, bottom etc, etc. The variations would be endless. And that is what coin collecting is all about. If you are in to varieties.Commonly known as OFF CENTRE strikes. Not worth much of a premium but will keep the brain occupied.

Thanks airgem. I will keep looking out for other date (year) in the future. It appears they are more from 2004 (Mob of Roos). Hope to pick up a few more and in better condition. Have a nice day.

All the result of a slightly slightly (MAD) misaligned die. Also happens on other denomination coins.

All discards! Not worth the trouble to save them all, you won't have any left to spend.
life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved
