Great doubled die for sure.

As for Machine Doubling being seen in some letters there is none. Typical of how the strike is the wear on the die and the outside of the devices to look like MD under a scope. Md isn't as common on shield cents as everyone says I see it used as a blanket term all the time on FB etc when it really is just reflection doubling and wear of the die ( Die Deterioration) around close to the devices. Here's what Machine Doubling looks like on a 2018 compare.

The md can be seen going southwest in the 018. Compared to the "md" in ops images it wouldn't not have the slight glare and flow that it had.
