So I was diving down the rabbit hole of coin collecting and coin varieties and such on the internet and saw this tidbit on the 1990-s Lincoln sent no s mint mark. So it didn't have any images of the coin, but what I'm puzzled with is if it's an s mint from Sacramento with no as mint mark on the coin how exactly is one to tell that it is what it is someone could help explain It would be greatly appreciated, and for whatever reason I can't find much info about it. Thank you for reading
First, an S mm is from San Francisco, not Sacramento. These were Proof Coins that had a limited amount struck without the S mm so it would have to be a 1990 Proof, not a business strike.
and Jimmy is very correct - the S mint is in San Francisco. The coin would also be a proof if it was from SF. is this coin a proof? if not it is probably from Philadelphia ( no mint mark). can you share a link to your 'rabbit hole'?
