I just found this 2008d LMC maybe a month ago they are definitely odd looking.

I have never seen a coin like this before, I have been looking online though I am unable to find anything even closely resembling.

As a reference for myself I would love to know what can/could cause this to happen, (curious) , I can usually find something about a coins damage online until this one
