2022 P Lincoln Cent - DDO & potentially DDRHello Everyone! Glad to have seen the post from last year about the "2022 D Penny DDO / DDR ?", since this helped refine my question(s). I'm sure others have had the feeling of, "YAH I found one!", and I do feel that is the case here, well, I hope. I have 2 different 2022 P Lincoln pennies that I do feel are DDO with slight DDR to the initials on both sides of the shield. Looking to see what others have to say about this, since these are not in the pickers guide yet. Have many more if they are needed to verify. Also don't want to overload folks with a ton pictures out of the gate. lol Thank you very much!!

The reverse looks normal with no thickness on the initials that I can see from these images.
The obverse seems to show what is considered doubling on the date with E/W thickness and notching on the top left corners of LIBERTY. Are there are any die chips on the top of the shield on the reverse (for die markers)?
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

Well I can say one thing. I sure hope there are 2022 DDO pennies out there. I bought two boxes a while ago.

the DDO is so minor if not even noticeable unless one understands doubled dies for shield cents. And we do so we can see the ever so slight 1% extra thickness. The initials are normal those lines you mention normal to it's just what the scope does to the raised devices. You won't see those in hand with a 60x loupe. Just a normal 2022 shield cent. Trade it in for another shield cent date lol. Theres only one known 2022 DDR that has been found and sent out to chuck. A friend of mine found it. other then that no great find for 2022

No listings on the sites yet for this year. But making side by sides might show it there is hub doubling there, or what is going on for sure. The date looks like the die was over polished making the date even smaller looking? The reverse initials look like something going on, but again need side by sides to tell if the devices are larger than normal or not?

Thank you both, Gorham & coop, for the feedback. HA HA Gorham. I have plenty to trade it in for. I will generate some nice side-by-side pics to present. I thought the same thing coop with the initials, but after looking at another 5 or so shields I think this is the inlay of the die. Never know though.

Well folks, here are some examples from 2020, 2021 & 2022. The first comparison is the original shields presented. The features are very similar between each year. I never saw this before, and now I'd say the 2022 I presented at first is not a DDO. Well unless someone wants to say they are all DDOs. LOL

I will not say DDO. I am more versus an hub doubling. Not very major, very small. I think this could be determinate in hand analyze.
