Here's what PCGS gave it. I agree with most others, seems more like MS62 to me. They seem to be all over the place with grading these. Jump from 62 to 64 is around $1500US difference in sold prices.

Maybe it looks better in hand? And all the scratches/marks are on the case...

Could also be a function of lighting and angle. Otherwise am surprised at the grade.

As presented, I would definitely not pay MS64 prices.

Too high.
I would look to buy an alternative '48 MS-64 slabbed if I was in the market, and I was prepared to pay big money, and especially if I was considering to buy, using these pics.

You must learn to grade for yourself. Example pictured is a case in point.

However, don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.
IMO, slab grading, in most cases, can still provide a reasonable guide but
as we all know, slab grading, in a few cases, has to be taken with a grain of salt.

That is flipping awful grading!
I'd eat the plastic if I had to pay up for that coin !
