Hi again all,

2nd submission of the evening; Is there anything to the difference in the coloring of these two 2020 D U.S. Virgin Islands quarters?

Looks like a typically toned quarter.

One is just toned more than the other. Nothing unusual.

Agree with the assessments above. I've seen similar while roll searching.

Thanks all for the responses. Is the toning just something that you'll get when minting millions of coins, or what happens when they get run through a hot clothes dryer if left in a pocket, or something along those lines?

Toning does not happen during the minting of a coin, it happens after it has left the mint.
Depending on the elements it has been exposed to, that will determine the colour.
