Hello! I have this 2020-D Lincoln Penny that has some pretty obvious flaws. I'm still learning the basics so please let me know if I've left anything important out! The reverse is missing the shield and is slightly dented, so I was thinking possibly a die cap error if not just PMD? I'm not sure what error, if any, that the observe is comparable to. The coin weighs 2.3 grams if that helps at all. Thank you!

Welcome to the forum, that is 100% damage. Looks like it was ground down.

No error, just abuse. Looks as if it was used for target practice. Post mint damage.

Agree with all--post-strike damage. Certainly ground down. Imagine the coin trapped between a heavy wood pallet and a 'smooth' concrete floor, and being slid around for a time--the kind of floor one might see in a Costco or Sam's Club.
