Yes, try a long soak in 100% acetone. Let us know how it turns out. What does the reverse look like?

Depending on how long the glue has been there, removing it with acetone might leave an area that toned differently from the rest of the coin. If you do soak it in acetone, a post-soak picture would be nice to see.
